Default On-Road Air Filters

So I run 1/8 GT. Just seeing what you guys are running for air filters. I have been running the Ofna OFN38400 because it's what the LHS stocks. What other air filters do you guys run on your nitro on roads and why?

Are you asking about off road style filters or INS boxes? The oil is what actually does the filtering, are you asking what oil we are using?

Either or. I have been running the small Ofna filters because of their size and availability. I just wish that they lasted longer. I don't run at tracks that require INS boxes so the question was more aimed to see what other guys are running at their local tracks/parking lots.

I've tried a few different oils. I actually quite like the Traxxas oil, it's super tacky.

I have been using the Mugen oil for years both off road and on road. Very sticky, very oily. Put some on the filter then use a clean parts bag to work the oil into the filter. Whatever you do dont clean it. You will only force dirt into the filter. If you have some cleaning putty you can pat the outside of the filter to remove the dirt that is suck to the outside.
As far as the not lasting. Is the foam falling apart? Are you running on the street/parking lots? If that's what's killing them switch to a buggy style that has a prefilter. Don't oil the outer filter.
