Default Brake upgrade or adjustment for Traxxas 4tec?

The car is brand new, I have just finished the brake in period however the brakes are lacking big time with my 4tec. The car slows down but it takes a really really long distance to slow the car to a stop. When I say long, to give you a bit of perspective from a 30mph roll it will prob take 200-300 feet easy to get the car to stop. I am not sure if the brakes need to be upgraded or they need to be adjusted. If they do need to be adjusted how is it done? Thanks a lot for any help anyone might offer.

hey doc....did your boss give you the manual on that car?....I would call traxxas to get one..or see if it can be downloaded from their site......Follow the brake linkage on the car..see if its engaging enough ......most cars have a thumbscrew you can turn to give you more brakes........
