Default Nitro TC3 and shaft start...is it possible???

Hello all, I got a Nitro TC3 with a OS .12 CV-RX pull start engine in it. I was wondering if the HPI/Hot bodies/OFNA shaft start system will work in it, not just fit in it. I want to get rid of the pull start so if I choose to race it,l I don't have to pull the body off, start it, and get the body back on before it stalls. Any details would be appreciated.

also, would it also work on a .18 CV-RX as well, I got that in another car with a pull start

Thunder tiger makes one with a 90 bend. You start it through the bottom of the chassis. It's a little awkward starting from the bottom, but I've seen it done. Shaft drive is definately easier than a pullstart.

It won't work for side exhaust engine because of the position on the chassis, nor with a rear exhaust engine. It's a tight fit and you will have to aim at an angle that won't fit properly. If you are going to race, just place some fuel tubing on the edge of the cut open windows to prevent the PS cord from tearing. Also, make holes in the body to access the HSN. Lastly, you can just use a starter box for the car with PS on. The PS can also be removed.
