If you're gonna run the stock engine you will need one of these.

You're better off with this.. this guy has the best prices I've seen for them... You need the bigger clutch bell, 2nd gears from the rrr work as 1st gears on the 05

I plan on running this combo in our NVTA class this year... you can still download the manuals for the 05r/rr to get most of the pinion #'s... but there are a few taller optional ones too.

2nd gear pinions on the rrr is the same as 1st gear pinions on an 05... then the 05 has much taller 2nd pinions.

So you need the bigger clutch bell... that has bigger bearings... you are better off buying a VS-035... and working from there.

Arrow sifting through the cobwebs

If I'm not mistaken, the 05 and the "original" rrr shared the same flywheel, clutch shoe, flyweights. Newer RRR's..??? IDK... never owned a trip R. The list below should give you some idea what will work... there are also aftermarket flywheels, clutch bells, and pinions.

Flywheels
RR/RREvo = to big
05, RRR = same

Clutch bell
RR/RREvo, 05 = same
RRR = smaller first gear threads, smaller pinions, smaller bearing

Pinions
RR = wrong pitch
RREvo = right pitch.. to small
RRR = 1st gear to small, 2nd will work as a 1st on an 05
