Default Nitro TC3 fuel tank

has anyone tried the fuel tank mod where you plug off the pressure in fitting on the tank and install a fitting in the fuel cap for the line? I read on the AE tech page were some guys were having good luck with this mod and it sounds like AE is rethinking their fuel tank. I am having some problems with the car just dying for no apparent reason and I am thinking of trying this mod. Any one have any first hand experience with this?

rayhaung- thanks, I just finished the mod and will try it out on Sat. Do you know why AE would put the exhaust into the bottom of the tank? Seems strange to me and if you dont have the line run exactly like they show, fuel will syphon into the exhaust... took me awhile to figure that one out

AE has a new lid for the ntc3 tank, but I do not know what the part number is yet or how soon it will be available. They had them at the nats.

try this, use the rtr gt fuel tank lid, it has the nipple on the top and then use high temp gasket sealer to cover the old pressure line fitting it has worked for me with very good results. 250 degree temps and usually 7 min run time.
