ZERO degree steering blocks with 10 degree c-hubs is my recommendation after the testing I have done recently.

Zero Degree Caster blocks are the new thing. I am running them as well as most people I know. We are seeing more corner speed, a raise in on power steering, better tire wear and better feel. I like them mostly for feel, makes the car respond to small input through the turning of the wheels. Where as the 10 deg have a more aggressive bite through the course.

Not sure if that last part makes sense lol! The zeros feel much more natural and the input is congruent with the amount the car turns. The 10s have a less linear feel through the turning of the wheels. Sorry guys hard to describe...

Zero degree blocks and zero degree hubs are the way to go.

So wondering if there are any tweaks I can do to this set up to offset the loss of traction from running a harder compound. I am also changing from my Blitz 1/8 Shell to a Protoform PF8, mainly because the Protoform is painted a color easier to see and I couldn't get another Blitz shell locally.

So appreciate any ideas / feedback, as I don't really feel like making this a drift car right now!
Last summer I ran my GTe on a rough, mostly unprepaired parking lot asphalt track. I was using sweep 45 or 50 slicks, so I'm not sure how the GRPs would have compared. But in any case, to get the most grip I could on the low grip surface, I was running stock sway bars, 200k, 300k, 30k diff oils, yellow front springs and red rear springs, 0 deg steering arms and 0 deg caster blocks, and a long rear camber link. I actually found the Blitz body to make the car too planted and not wanting to rotate. Prefered the Alpha R3 body with either the stock rear wing or a Blitz rear wing.

Since it's winter I haven't been keeping up with posts here so I have a question, I just saw on the Serpent site that there is a version 2 kit that has a updated manual. The manual is for the version 2 diffs and for new rear suspension parts. I haven't heard anything about the new suspension parts, what are the benefits?
Thanks

It's winter here, did anyone try the new GRP slicks yet?

About to start my rebuild for this season. Thinking about using ceramic bearing, really want to free up the drivetrain. Will this help?

Thanks guys. Have any of you ever ran foams? I have a set, it sounds like fun to me for some quick practice laps.

We ran foams at one race in Las Vegas and the cars were so hooked up we were traction rolling. It was great fun, but the tires wore quickly. I ran the GQ

Thanks for the tire suggestion, I bought a pair of foams for my gt a while back and haven't used them yet, I think I'll through them on just for fun one day of practice. Have any of you guys ever ran foams on a gt car?

Nice, sounds like fun if you keep it from rolling.
