Thanks dan from clearing that up.

Just confirming these are the parts that are suggested to run from most setup I've seen and this thread.

Steeringblock L+R V2 alu #600497
C-hub 10 L+R alu #600303
What's the part number for heavier clutch springs? I don't see it listed under the GT Optionals on Serpent's website.

Nice to have's: :P
Brake set Pro steel #600345

Also guys are only running the front discs? I thought I read a post or setup that Andy Lui or some guys are only running front brake discs?

see pic for clutch PNs. I think the mention of using only the front disk was If running the Buku clutch. The flywheel is a little bigger on that clutch causing the flywheel and clutch to touch. If you are running the stock flywheel, no need to remove rear brake disc. If I am wrong in that assumption, I'm sure I'll be corrected.

You need the zero degree steering blocks NOT the v2's. P/N: 600611.

Hard clutch springs for composite shoes - 600231
Very hard springs for alu shoes - 600232

So guys are running 0deg to get crazy turn in off power?

Looking at random setups I see 10deg aluminum is popular and some had 0deg blocks.

The Extra Hard springs are the SER600232

Most of the setups are running the SER600611 "0"Degree steeringblock with the SER600694 "0" degree C Hub's.

I personally have the Buku 34 GT clutch and you can run the rear brake disc without issue. Not sure why some are running one brake disc. The Pro Disk Brakes SER600345 are a must.

Other good option parts are:

-The Alum coated servo saver SER600296. This allows you to use Loctite the steeringrack screws so they don't back out. Lost a race do to my screw coming out of my steeringrack. Ironically another Serpent driver had the same thing happen in the same race. I upgraded to the alum coated servo saver and have not had any issues since.

-The center alum trans holders SER600286 are popular but not necessarily a must. I ran my stock plastic ones for a year without issues. Currently I'm running the aluminum holders.

-The extra hard servo saver spring SER600330.

-The -2 Front Hubs SER600274

-The +2 Rear Hubs SER600493 (may be too long if you running the 2.0 rear arms)

-The Hard Anodized shock caps SER600347

All Serpent Parts are currently on Sale @ IGTHOBBIES.COM

Just after some ideas please as the Electric thread is rather quiet, I have attached my usual set up for my GT-e usually run GRP 5's all round during the day or 5 front / 3 rear at night, but have an upcoming state titles which is a night event, the control tyre is GRP 7's

So wondering if there are any tweaks I can do to this set up to offset the loss of traction from running a harder compound. I am also changing from my Blitz 1/8 Shell to a Protoform PF8, mainly because the Protoform is painted a color easier to see and I couldn't get another Blitz shell locally.

So appreciate any ideas / feedback, as I don't really feel like making this a drift car right now!

Absolutely! Remember the GT is very Buggy based and most of the parts are shared between the chassis. I highly recommend using this clutch setup and play with spring tension.

Just to putting out some feelers, I am most likely going to be selling my Serpent GT. Not enough time to run it and my job is keeping me way too busy traveling. Might pick it back up if I get a non traveling job. Would be asking $400 shipped with blitz body. Would make a great practice body. Will also include a set of Sweep tires. Have pro brakes and aluminum steering arm upgrades. Black springs all the way around. Have stock springs too. Chassis has 2 club races and one regional race on it. Love the car, just not enough time. Currently on the road with National Guard. I will post some pics once I get home. I also have several motors, if anyone is interested in a motor too. NIB Novarossi plus 4, NIB Argus R8, used Keep off 7 about 2.5 gallons, Go GXII 5+2 about 3 gallons.
Ty helped me set this car up when I was on business in Utah.
