Wow 94 pages, I am sure somewhere in this post it was mentioned but I am looking for a good base set up for the Dallas and Porter track for the GT?

I bought one used and it was set up already but I am sure it wont last forever.

I really want it in the serpent but kind of scared to buy one since it has been almost 3 years from the last release Gt. Hoping there will be a new release

I have had 3 GTs and currently race 2 of them
Lets put it this way, it has not been updated bec it runs too well
We used to have 1 serpent GT (mine) in our track now almost everyone has one and the new converts are running almost 2 seconds faster with the car!
You wont go wrong because of all the research world champion Paolo and team serpent have done on it.
Good luck and have fun

+1. I'm a recent owner of the Serpent GT. I gotta say I loved it out of the box but it was lacking a bit of steering. Just follow Paolo's setup and upgrade to the alu 10 degree chubs, 0 degree steering blocks and black springs all round and you'll be in the ball park. Made a massive difference for me.

Run the blitz gt body with sweep EXP-40/45 tyres with square inserts and you'll be good to go. IMHO the serpent is certainly the highest quality, most durable than the competition. It is definately the strongest!

Grab a Serpent you will not be sorry. Customer service is also second to none! Enjoy!

A mixture of places really. Amain, RC-Mushroom and Absolute Hobbyz mainly. Those are my go to places for serpent spares. Serpent America is a no go due to extortionate shipping prices.

Ummm none really to be perfectly honest with you. See my post above for the nice to have upgrades. The clutch needs 2 Alu weights and hard and very hard springs to make it punchier or you could use a Buku clutch.

However that said straight out of the box the car is nice and safe handling wise. It responds to setup changes very well and is bullet proof!
