Surprised Serpent hasn't changed the rear top arms to similar to Capricorn or Shepherd to reduce the flex or chattering of the rear suspension. Or is this not really an issue and just makes the car more tough in a collison!

djiewie: How can you say it is the car to have for 2012 when it hasn't been released to the public yet? Time will tell after a few weeks since its release and if any issues arise like they did with the Mugen Mtx5.

My biggest concern will be how long will it take Serpent to release the 747 Evo or TE after the standard kit is released. 12 - 18 months would be fair, but if it happens before the end of the year, you wouldn't want to race out and buy it now.

The car has been made with the new EFRA weight limit 1550gram in mind. So with additional weights installed this year to get the 1700 gramm weight. this car is the only car with the lowest cg already. Only this year because next year the additional weights have to be removed to get 1550 weight minimum. And all cars will be the same again regarding CG. Serpent did what i am trying to achieve with my car now. If you are going to keep the old/current weight next year then This car has an advantage with the weights very low in the car. Untill the others respond with new cars, that is. So thats why.

Don`t think it will have issues though, but a car proved without issues is my brand car.

I'm a 1000% sure my car has a lower CoG.
Plus it's also proven it's trouble free out of the box.

this car was developed and near completion as the 1550 rule was massively discussed and passed. id very much doubt it will weigh 1550 with out weights, but is more likely be closer to 1650 , and the weights i would have a guess is for the rest of the world who still run to 1725.
will find out soon enough, next week i should get my 747. if all goes well !
and once built, will get the scales out.
