the clutch to stay together. (Even had team drivers try to figure that one out)

Anyway. Can someone explain what the two adjustment are on the top plate in the front of the car are???

Scratch that last question. I saw the video. Thanks
Thanks
The 747 is a fantastic pure bread race machine. I am more than pleased with my kit and as usual with Serpent kits the quality is top notch. If you are having trouble with Centax clutch set-up here is a great video by World and European Champion Michael Salven. Best of luck with your ventures and see you at the track!

[QUOTE=GPXJOE;12390366]seriously,the nipple for the tank is very hard to screw in!why can't it be screwed in right off the pack?had to reamer the hole then the hole lost its thread, had to put c.a. glue.this should not have been this difficult serpent people.just sayin[/QUOTE

The Serpent centax wrench is also use to install the fuel nipple into the tank. Its a breeze with wrench.

Pass you soon...

I switched from standard to low profile servos but I never felt a difference in handling. With low profiles servos you can mount the throttle servo underneith the radio plate.

Default RECEIVER BOX??????

Can someone please design a RECEIVER BOX for this car. Or a mount to use another brand box! The few grams u save in weight is not worth the $100+ electrical hardware that's getting drinched with fuel or smashed in a T-bone accident. Makes absolutely no sense!!

Hey just a quick note.

The 2013 Great Lake challenge in Toledo, Ohio, hosted by the One Eighth Racers of Toledo is coming up Aug 23-25. I am trying to make sedan the biggest class out there this year. I myself just switched back to a Sedan this season. If you are interested in racing registration is open now. You can register online at http://toledooneeighthracers.com/event_registration or grab the entry form from the website and mail it.

It is always a good time that draws ~115 racers each year. Give it a thought.

I myself have not had any issues with the radio box. All i did to make my liquid proof is to use galvanising tape or Stretchy electrical tape around the reciever, leaving a hole around reciever channel plugs. This tape only sticks when you stretch it. and then i use cleaning gum and mould it around the plugs.
Ive used this method for a year now on my old capricorn C02 and serpent 747 and its never misssed a beat. Even when my pitman makes a mess in a final. I hope this helps you.

The Mugen MTX5 receiver box almost a perfect fit. I run one on my car. If you use a couple of receiver spacers to connect it to the top deck you shouldn't have issue.

What radio are you using?

And how often do you crash?
The weight is an issue for me as my car is balanced with out a RX box with the extra weight out to one side the car would be out by a fair bit!!
I have been running my RX reversed facing inwards you just need to take some plastic off the mount so the plugs and cables fit nicely and i have never had an issue all wiring is hidden away and only thing exposed is the back of the RX but never had an issue.

i'll have it apart over the next couple of days ill take some pics.

if you have issues and feel better with the RX box the Mugen one does fit and i have seen CDS70 and will do the job like a bought one.

Enjoy.

I'm guessing you are talking about the flex the 2x adjustments will allow you to take the front 4 screws out that allows the top deck to flex left to right.(we do run the flex on some tracks here is AUS) some people use O rings and some screws to allow some flex but not full flex it is up to the driver how much steering you enjoy driving with.

It will add just under 9 grams to your car and unlike Azz I tend to hit a couple more things then he does so the comfort of protecting my receiver is what I was after. And yes that is a switch.....I run switches, always have and always will!

its great that that receiver vox worked out but dang!it looks like the snake ingested a small animal!hehe.nonetheless still better than nothing!

about the tank nipple, lil bump, the problem is not the tool that I need, its the hole for the nipple, its too small.its sure looks like a manufacturing mistake altogether
