I'm not sure I would like the force applied to the bumber to be transfered to the rest of the car. The bumper is designed to absorb the force not transfer it. But I do agree this car ROCKS

Pass you soon...

There is actually no force applied to the rest of the car. it is quite flexible when pushed up and even a little flexible when bent down but it returns back to the original position.
Ill explain some history on why i decided to come up with this concept.

First race meeting with the 747 leading comfortably hit the inside of the ripple strip straight away i noticed a lack of steering in 1 direction the other direction was fine. Thinking i broke something we checked but the only thing was the bumper scraping on the ground on 1 side. Why this effects the steering it takes weight off that wheel made the can feel hard to drive and not consistent so holding the bumper off the ground was the answer it is also adjustable if you are worried about force transfer to the rest of the car.
But this is my 2 cents I'm not trying to sell it to you if you don't like it don;t use it.

No Problem.... keep it up. 1/8 scales have been using this style bumper for a very long time without any support mechanisms. I see no need to re-invent the wheel. this is why I have 2 extra lower bumbers. But if this works for you then go for it. I''ll make a small wager that other 1/10 cars will start using this style of bumper

same as the 1/8 yes and my 966 has the same style of support my 747.
i'd rather have good steering throughout the whole race.
Simple physics plastic rubs on ground = less weight = less steering
I can change the front bumper every run or add some support i chose some support.

Just my 2 cents if you think it doesn't work before you have tried..... well.

Good luck with your racing.

I've notice that the side stiffner (from 2speed axle to radio plate) is not on the 747. Does anybody know the reason for that, or did anybody tried the stiffner as on the 733TE?

Just wondering why it is not there anymore, and why or what should/could be a reason to put one on again.

If you want the side stiffener for the rear end, you can purchase the option kit for that. It's just a another tuning option

The chassis for the 747 is actually stiffer than the 733. Hence no side brace.

After looking at all the positive comments regarding the new SERPENT 747 I finally had the chance to run mine for the first time last weekend at the XRAY Challenge in LA.

The car was great out of the box. It was really easy to drive. Great corner speed and acceleration with the new clutch. This is the best car I have driven so far.
