I've heard that the spektrum receivers can be sensitive to heat... And it has been doing it since I changed to my DX4R pro

Richard,

I know you are frustrated with it...

You have changed batteries, removed the switch and ran a extension wire and it stills raises its ugly head at the worst time. I am happy to lend you my R10 radio tray that still has my servos in it that I used my DX3R Pro with no issues.

Whats the other option? Buy a different brand radio? Sanwa MT4?

Someone will have a spare spektrum rx to try before it comes to that..

Well that's about the most expensive option. I already have an Mt-4 and it needs a new receiver anyway.

i have the MT-4 for 2 years and i happy with it,never give me a single problem even 3 different model of receiver in 3 different car

Mt4 is probably the best radio for the money. It uses the same rx as the m12 and is 200 less. I love my m11x, some ppl hate the size but thats what I love about it, and the mt4 is probably better than the m11x

Yeah the MT-4 is a good radio for the money, be careful with the steering wheels on them though, I broke mine. I'll try my spare receiver with my DX4R Pro, hopefully that solves my issues

I've been running my R10 for nearly 2 years now. If you had some questions about the car I can try to help you out. This thread has gone pretty quiet so it would be good to hear from anyone else still running an r10.

I just finished rebuilding mine. So far it seems like a really nice car. I'm surprised it had so little following. Do you have any problems with the rear belt coming off? Any must have upgrades/weak areas?

I'll answer for my brother Richard. No issues with the rear belt, check to make sure belt tensioner (black plastic inserts bearing sit in) are set right as the position will alter tension on the belt. The Manual should explain this a little better if i have confused you.

Weakness... drive shafts wear quickly, recommend having spares and putting grease on the drive pins in the diff outdrives. Car is good apart from this, Richard is struggling with the gearbox stripping 2nd gear at the moment and we are running out of things to replace. Will try again at tonights race meet weather pending.

I have 2 R10 running foer 2 years now, and the car is great it is as fast as any top Brand cars in the market. Main problema is getting spares, and about the issue of stripping gears, it strts happening when the plastic inserts on the transmission axle develop play with the aluminum support and or the bearings...as son as it starts to do so change plastic inserts and bearigs and on assembly put some loctite aroud plastic insert before p´lacing them on aluminum support.

Thanks for the responses. Glad to hear there are a few others running this car. I saw that Teemu and a couple others did pretty good with it at the euros race. Are the HB factory guys posting setup info anywhere? Also is it necessary to move the receiver or is it just a tiny balance issue that can be overlooked at the club level?
