1/10 suspension help
 
hey there its my first post here and i notice alot of yall know your stuff so im hoping you can help me out. i have a redcat racing lightning str, and i just got it running perfectly and now i cant keep the car straight it always whips around when i touch the steering either way, like the back tires need more weight or something? a little clueless here:confused:.....maybe drop the rear suspension down a bit?.....thanks for looking

Get RC Crew Chief software, and you will have a full picture of what you need to do to get your car running right. I don't think it will have your model though....

Sounds like you're just having traction issues. Don't drop the rear suspension on its own, you may develop steering issues.

I'll assume you're using rubber tires. Make sure the ride height is the same front and back. 1 mm or so higher in the back is ok. Then try softer rear tires and/or softer rear springs. Conversely you could stiffen the front with the opposite as I suggested on the rear. Depending on your surface traction ideally you'd like the rear of the car a bit softer than the front. There are other things that could be done but baby steps.

thank yall, well i found out the problem, after tearing apart the car i found out that the dogbone going to the front diff lost the little pin somehow, alot better traction now :blush: its always the simple things, thanks for the help though gave me some good tips:D
