here is my nitro tc3. i bought it for racing when the tc3 first came out, its been retired from racing and now is a fun car. when racing it had a rossi .12, when that motor got tired i converted it to a big block car.

the car was stupidly fast, but after a while the screaming high rpm this car spent most of its time at took its toll and i killed the motor. at this point i wanted something different, so now it has an os fs40sc 4 stroke car engine.

next up is my 1/8 scale i just bought. its a brand new serpent vector 99 spec. the car was built as a shelf queen, complete with servos and a nova mega engine. bought he car for $250, its now going to be used for grudge racing the other "small scale" cars at our 1/5 scale gatherings

and not nitro, my 1/5 scale fg modelsport onroad. for those that know fg, this car started as a sportline, but aside from the servo saver and front control arms, its all fg evo, except for the lauterbacher hydro twin piston brakes and knuckles

Nothing to special, just a kyosho gt2 rtr and then doing my own stuff to it. You know something I can drive in the parking lots and take to the tracks everyonce in a while.

thanks. its the most nerve racking and tense r/c driving experience. its 24lbs, it doesnt stop in an instant like a smaller scale, and when things go wrong, its ugly. however its the most fun of any r/c ive ever had, it actually acts like a real car, both in driving and chassis setup.

i dont have any other shells, just the alfa 156. a body for a 1/5 scale is around $250 plus shipping from europe, litteraly 10x the cost of a 1/10 scale body. i am looking to get another body, this one is pretty beat now, has 3 seasons on it. the one i want for it (audi r10 lemans car) wont fit with this tuned pipe.

here is a pic of my dads 1/5 scale. its an fg sportsline, its all plastic with a few choice upgrades (hydro brakes, roll cage, stiffer chassis, adjustable clutch style diff), and an audi dtm body

price varies depending where you buy it. generally a sportsline model as a kit or artr (no radio gear) is around $1200. an evo version with hydraulic brakes and a decent motor can put you up into the $3500 + range. is that needed? no, for most people bashing and even club racing, a sportsline model with choice upgrades is plenty.

the price tag scares most people, however if you add up what you spend on a 1/8 scale onroad chassis, a motor and pipe, and then radio gear, it doesnt look so bad.
