Will I burn the servo immediately?

I'm using the predecessor of your servo, the S9551, as a throttle servo on 7,4V without any problems. However I have a 7,4V suitable servo, Ko propo RSX, on steering, and I think that one takes the voltage down a bit.
But the S9551 I have is already three years old and the last year I ran it under 7,4V without issues, so I don't think it will burn out the moment you put power on it.

Hi Guys,

ATTENTION: Try at your own risk!!!!

I have been running for exactly 3 years both the futaba Low profile 551 BLS on 7.4 lipo and the 451 BLS on 1/10nitro tourer and 1/8th Onroad with no problems.

They have been working great with no issues.

Radio was a futaba 4px and now a 7PX with receivers :

Futaba R614FS 4-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Receiver

Futaba R334SBS T-FHSS

FWIW, everything Iíve read on the topic (and that also came up in A-Mainís recent ďFrom RTR to RacerĒ series on YouTube) is that, no, it wonít kill the servo right away, but it can shorten the life of it. How much shorter? Thatís up for debate.
