HI, i am just writing to let you guys know, that the 2006 WA sport tourer state title Winner, is a YOKOMO GT-4rtr with a OS12cvx. we run the state titles yesterday, 2 trophies, sport tourer TQ 2006, and the state title holder, but now i have to retire the car as parts are hard to get in Perth. i love the yokomo GT-4, but now going up a class to pro tourers with a G4. just letting you know the good news that the GT-4 rocks. all info can be found at http://www.warcmcc.org/ .by the way the competition was filled with Kyosho V1RRR's won by a lap . i have heaps of spares, and am now selling the state title winning car.

I'm looking for a front diff with the front cvd's (I forget what they're called exactly). Anyone have the stock locked diff or a one-way?
Thanks

Just spotted this thread. I must say I miss my GT-4, before the GT I owned a HPI Nitro Pro and a cheap little OFNA (Serpent look alike) road car with a .21 (got it for cheap )

Well, I use to own a GT-4 RTR kit with the Porsche body haha (couldn't afford the Pro kit at that age). I came across a GT4 Pro fully hopped up rolling chassis on Ebay and bought it, coverted my GT4 to Pro spec (and had another whole car for spares) and went racing. I had a OS CV15 in it ( I think thats what I had) 2 speed everything. I swear that thing was a tank and it ran sooo flawless. I loved it and so miss it, I sold it about 2 years ago to a fellow in Miami over Ebay he sent me emails for weeks about how he loved the car too . I entered so many local races and it never let me down. I'm so tempted to get back into a Nitro especially the GT4 but the Associtaed Nitro Team TC's are tempting. Just don't want to mess with the 'mess' of gas anymore. Gas is sooo much fun though damn!

Good times with the car for sure!

I was given I guess to be 2 yr old gt4 and have a slight problem. When I hold the car and spin the back tires, they spin freely. When I spin the front, it has resistance like the brakes are on. Is this normal or is the one way diff binding somehow. Please help because I heard these cars are contenders and my friend with a ft tc3 w/ sirio .12 is going to be talking smack.
Thanks

the rear wheels will turn freely, if no diff fluid is used. try holding one wheel at the rear, then turn the other wheel, this will then turn the transmission, if you have the same binding then try to back the brakes off then retry. you say you have a one way diff ? each wheel should turn freely in one direction. if not then you have a one way problem. try taking off the side belt then retry. if you find the binding gone then check each axle to find out if its front or rear binding !
