I sold a few of these, and I still have a couple lying around, let me know if you're interested.

I plan on going to REV on the 28th, look me up about it and I will show it to you. I will even show you how it goes on the car. I only runed it a small track, but I could tell the difference. The rear was a lot more stable on the sweepers. I tried it with a touring car body, but I didnt like it at all.

IM the guy with the bear on that pic. I have shorter hair now though

Thanks,

Steven Muller

The picture is very small. Race report from JMRCA... On Monday I'll try to scan it, but sorry if the quality a little bit poor

It's a belt driven with laydown steering servo... Still have to confirmed. Gotta borrow the book from my friend again LOL

From what a couple people at Yokomo have told me is it will basically be a GT4 based car (at least for the time bieng) but will feature the laydown servo, and some suspension revisions... There will propably be a conversion kit for the GT4, timeframe on the release 8-12 months.

I am wondering for a long time, why do I find Associated's cars and parts in Yokomo Japan Site? But not in the USA Site. Are they belong to the same family or what? Anybody knows?

......Masami Hirosaka used prototype car with 80% Mugen parts........had some problems in final (belt), finished 8th but he made the fastest lap in the grand final.......
I believe this also explain why Masami spotted several times practicing with Team Mugen Japan (Kenji Osaka, Keisuke Fukuda, etc) before the JMRCA meeting...

Maybe Yokomo Japan help to distribute AE in Japan? Or their company are related each other? Same with GM-Racing from Germany as they products also appears in Yokomo's product list...

I dont know how true that is about Masami running a car with 80% Mugen parts. I've heard that he is using a car with not many revisions over the GT4. The parts may be from the Mugen, but I dont think that much of the car is..

Yes. For 80% I think the only one left are fuel tank, drive shaft and shocks... Maybe also front bumper and shock springs

I think yokomo and associated have been in bed together for a long time. Remember the days when Associated imported the Yokomo 4wd buggy YZ10?

This is just speculation since I don't work for either, but perhaps its a mutual distribution system they have setup, and Yokomo USA is a sub-station of Associated. Alot of American companies have problems selling and distributing product into Japan directly, so if they partner up with each other they may both benifit even though they are in direct competition.
