Default Sirio Engines

Hi. Any track experiences with this engine? comments? I am interested in getting one because of the low price and five port design...after all it is a Rossi.

But does it haul?

It's a Rossi, but not a Nova Rossi, AND it's sold by Provetti.

"nuff said?

sorry...and provetti is...?

aside from these forums we don't get much info down here in asia about the latest rc nitro stuff. We do get the kawahara, five star, and GPM parts cheap and easy...but the engines cost an arm and a leg here...since most of the top ones come from europe.

thanks for the reply though

Owner of Trinity!

If you are in Asia, than they won't go through his hands.

Stefen,
Sounds like you have a little dislike for Trinity. I dont blame you. What about OS engines. Can you get a hold of those in asia.

Dislike for Trinity? Just look what he has done to "Treadz" tires right before the sedan Nats. (Allegedly)

Trinity bought Treadz

The Trinity team was practicing at the nats track with a new tire from TRC - caling them 37,40,42 & 45's. Wonder where those came from !!!!!!!

I have heard that these engines are supposed to be good. I have taken a look at them, they seem pretty solid.

Trinity didn't buy Treadz, they aquired the rights to be the sole importer for Gandini Racing Products who manufactured Treadz. (Allegedly). Treadz will no longer be manufactured at Gandini (Allegedly) they will be manufactured by someone else.(Allegedly) Another attempt by Trinity to monopolize the industry like they did with Sanyo which lilled electrical oval racing forever.

Hmmm...Trinity. I didn't know about that.

Anyway I did some searching among my friends who have seen it run locally...they compared it to a Novarossi RS12 5port...and the Nova pulled away quite noticeably. The two engines were on 2 similarly set up (gears, pipe, etc.)

But considering the price and the promise of a 10 gallon piston-sleeve lifespan alongside an ability to maintain consistent output throughout the temp range....I think it is still a good practical engine.

Any other track experiences?

Trinity is verry good at putting in a big order with a company to make them be persuaded (sp) into signing a excucivity agreement. Then when the smaller company has lost trinitys interest, product wise, trinity picks up another company meanwhile the first company has faltered because trinity has not placed any orders with them and they have no american market outside of Trinity. It sucks but it is trinity for ya'. First Picco then k-factory, Siro (rossi) now it's all of rossi's motors.

Trinity did not kill oval racing oval racers did. It's us oval guys that don't show up. It will come back in a few years though. Look at dirt oval, the local track is getting 80-90 dirt entries every 2 weeks on the banked dirt track, it's still getting bigger.

Talking

Now I thing this is a very unexpected and unusual statement from a Trinity driver, isn't it?

Whatever big Proletti tells them to say......
