Default 2 speed transmission relation?

Hello,

The 2-speed tooth number relation is:

spur1+gear1=spur2+gear2

right?

yes, for most cars the total number of teeth on 1st gear spur and pinion must equal the total number of teeth on 2nd gear spur and pinion.

some of the newer designs like HPI's 0.8 module gears you dont have to worry about that and use any gear combination you want.
