Default Velox V10 Side Belt

Just curious... Do you guys run with the slack standard in the side belt on the V10 or do you change to the Team C dual tensioner (TC533)?

Thanks in advance
Andrew

I have been running with the stock side belt tensioner. The belt does run looser but it has never come off. What I do notice is i tend to loose teeth on the side belt before the front or rear.

Who is selling the team C stuff?

RC-Mushroom seems to have a little of Team C Racing products as does TCModels.net

I ran the stock tensioner flipped around for a full season with no issues. It provides more belt wrap on the rear pulley.

Last year I got the Team C tensioner and had the same issues as the stock setup.. After flipping the Team C and dremeling it a bit to clear the header it ran flawlessly. More belt wrap and you can get the belt to a good tension without any belt rubbing.

I think a front tensioner and flipped stock rear tensioner is the best bet, going to try it next year.

All I can say is you better get in all your RC racing now and start really sharpening those mechanic skills. Come 5 years from now, you will not know what a radio feels like. LOL
