Questions?? what are some of the best on road for the $$??

Hi all!!

Hi guys. As of right now I'm a racer and currently have a sc8 that I'm going to be putting a alpha .21 in it

I've been thinking about getting a on road because we have a lot and I do mean a lot of really nice smooth places I can run one at. No I'm not gong to race it, just something to mess with and i also like the style and looks of a on road car.

I know a lot about off road trucks but nothing about on road. This might be funny, but only on road I know of is the Hpi rs4 evo that's it. Is that a good kit or are there better ones out there?? I don't mind spending 600$$ on a good kit.

I would like it to reliable and easy to work on. It could be four wheel drive or two don't matter. Thanks all who help with this goofy question..

For your purpose look no further than a Kyosho IGT. They are on-road converted from off-road and are very durable and fun to drive. The bodies look great on them and you can get a RTR kit for around $450. Also they are a blast to race and are plenty durable for old fashioned parking lot racing.
And if you get tired of driving back and forth on asphalt you can raise the ride height, put on some rally tires and hit the dirt for some rally fun.

The HPI RS4 is a 1/10 scale. Are you looking to stay with 1/10? That is a fairly decent car for the money and being shaft driven you should be ok in dusty parking lots. Easy to maintain and parts are cheap. Your only draw back would be motors should you choose to swap out for something faster later on. Not too many options in .12-.15 standard crank side exhaust configurations.

If you're open to 1/8. I second the IGT2's. Good bang for the dollar and pretty reliable.

You know, for around $600, or maybe a bit more, why not look at a used 1/5 scale? The cars are very easy to work on, reliable weed whacker motors which run forever and of course they are a lot easier to see in a big parking lot than those puny RS4's
