Thanks for all the help guys. I recently found out about r/c car action's speed challenge, so I think i'll enter.

Sad part now, I think i'd like to get REALLY serious about it, so i've been looking at possible substitute engines. It seems like the good engines are extra hard to find on the net.

I've been looking at a few Novarossi's and Collari's as well as JP and Paris Picco. I think i'm leaning more towards the collari XS 390 since it seems to be a nice high hp, high revving engine judging by the stats on it. But I can't find pricing or anything written about it (in english anyways).

What are the big engines to consider? I'd like to shoot for spending no more than $350, but if there is a huge difference in performance, i'll be willing go up as high as $400.

Remember, i'm strictly looking for top end engines capable of turning high rpm's.

Default price limit

In that price range you need to look for a quality used engine or perhaps wait for serpent's new motor. They say that motor will be very affordable.
