Default Looking for High Performance First RC Vehicle- Recommendations, Please!

Hellos. I'm new to this hobby, and I'd like to get started with a high-quality, reliable car.
I'm a sucker for speed- I know it's not the most important factor by any means, but I'd like to race it against my brother's 70mph capable CEN CT5.

I stumbled upon this site while researching, and I'd really appreciate it if you could give me some advice on choosing making the best choice for a Nitro RC. Here are some of the ones I've been considering up to now- am I looking in the right direction?

- Traxxas Nitro 4-tec 3.3
- Team Associated NTC3
- HPI Nitro 3 Evo
- Kyosho McLaren BMW F-1 GTR PureTen GP V-ONE S

(As a side note, I'm not a complete newbie to the RC world- I work with and handle RC battlebots, so I'm not too concerned about control at high speeds.)

Thanks!

Quality wise, those are ehhh.. Go to your local racetrack and hang out. Look for which car is popular and WHY. Don't just get pressured to buy a car because everyone else has it. At my local racetrack, it's 90% X-ray. I have Serpents already so I opted for a 733, but the racetrack did have a few 733's. The Serpent 733 TE/EVO/Regular are all quality cars. Of course, you should go for the TE if price isn't a problem.

BUT

If you only plan to outrun your brother and not go to racetracks, please do go ahead and buy any car you wish to buy.

Quality cars have an okay resale value, as you will never get back what you paid.

This is MY opinion, you may ignore or not.

Ahh yes, that's the car that claims to be the fastest on-road touring car... Well it isnt by any means. If it reaches 75 mph and turns on those rubber wheels and it's going to be a sad end to your day.

The GPX 4 Pro will blow it's socks off. Good entry level choice with pullstart, better build, better chassis. Sorry to upset your brother but you would be blowing hi doors off in the first 20 metres.
