you want speed in the servos, torque is not an issue because the tires are so small.

I have Two NTC3s and I love them parts easy to find, cars easy to work on. Cars are very fast and reliable.

i must say, i just got a second hand ft-ntc3 with other titanium/aluminum parts with a novarossi 3 port, now that thing screams! even the rtr +'s are competitive.

just a very tried and trued design.
