If you mesh all the gears on the ntc3, you shouldn't be blowing ANY gears. I used to blow my diff and pinion gear until I learned how to adjust the mesh properly. Now I haven't had anything break on the car from just using it.

I have racd my NTC3 for an entire season and only replaced the diff once but not for damage, mainly for the "murphy's law" factor. I run an NS12S3 in my NTC3 and never had a problem with it. Not to mention that I am running an aggressive shift (6 tooth drop ... 21/27 Pinion and 54/48 spur).

The diffs lifespan will depend on how you rebuild them, which you should do after every weekend of competative racing or once a month if just bashing around. If the diff is too tight, you will strip your gears. You can't lock it down or stick a solid axle in and expect long life.

The one issue I wish AE would take care of is the front suspension. Granted, someone invented "The Fix" but AE should address this issue as well. Clip a board too hard and your shocktower will twist slightly and rip out the screw from the diff housing.

AE went the right route by addressing the rear suspension and upgrading it. They just need to step up and do something about the front and make it more bullet proof. Till then, "The Fix" will be your best friend.

ttso, i have no camera now. i was planning on getting digital but when my tc3 caught fire during a drag race, i used up my money to fix it up. man, a new hardcore titanium chassis can hurt the wallet, not to mention a new m8 radio. oh, and dont worry, the diff cases were unharmed
