are you sure you dont want to get a kit and build it yourself? it would be better race quality

hey thanks for the sites , i think i would rather just get a RTR because theres only 2 or 3 tracks around and they are all pretty far away , so i wouldn't race much , its mainly going to be a driveway racer lol but ill get to the track every now and then , so nothing spectacular is needed

what kind of tarmac are you going to be running on? if it is unpreped and has some debris on it, go for a shaft drive, no rocks to be caught in the belt.

would the YOKOMO GT4 RTR be a better choice then the HPI Nitro RS4 evo ? also it says the yokomo does 60+++ out of the box .. is it upgradeable ..

i too am looking into getting a car .. basically for street .. maybe hitting the track on occasion .. ??

thanks

Thumbs down NO!

DON'T get the 4-tec. It's pretty fast out of the box, but that's pretty much all it's got going for it. It has crappy handling, so it wouldn't be very good AT ALL for racing, even just a driveway racer. You'll regret getting one if you get it, so look around some more before you go down that dark road. I don't know about their durability, but I do know that their handling SUCKS and they're pretty much laughed at by racers. Plus, they're not that upgradeable.

I had Yokomo GT-4 RTR and it does not reach 60 MPH.
And the parts are expensive and hard to get compare to others.
I don't have experience with other cars so I can't tell you about other cars but I would stay away from GT-4.

NTC3 rtr Plus is the only option if you ever plan on racing.
Heaps of upgrades available & super competitive out of the box.
Parts are cheap & readily available. I cant believe someone mentioned this car in the same breath as the 4 tec & Hpi
