Default temp guns

ok guys so what is the best 3 temp guns out there i know that the exergen is good but very pricey is there any others that will do the job thanks for any info

Trak Power, it use to be O'donnall is pretty accurate. The temp will be right on with the exergen.

I agree the O'Donnel is pretty close to my Exergen. I just disable the internal light;It eats batteries.

I saw some at the local hobby freight.... are those crap in quality....?

I would probably rank temp guns as follows:

1. Exergen
2. Raytek
3. Odonnel or whatever they have morphed to

I have a Raytek that I bought in 2000 which is still going strong and is still very accurate. I check it against my buddies Exergens, OFNAs, Odonnels, etc and it is within 2 to 3 degrees of most of them. Be careful of the ones from Radioshack, Harbor Freight, or some other outlets. They may not be too accurate and may cause you to burn up a motor/ESC/nitro engine.
