Default Mo speed

None of your upgrades improve speed or acceleration - they are all eye candy......the truck body sucks for aero, but probably looks good, if you want to accelerate faster, lower the pinion gear on the motor and increase the spur gear off the drive shaft - by changing gear ratio's you get a better jump out of the box.

i didnt want to get a 2 speed cause i only have one place to drive and its not amazingly huge to reach top speeds of what a two speed could probably do, im looking for just amazing jump out the gate, i dont race or anything just strictly for fun

should i get a 20 tooth pinion gear and a 54 tooth spur gear?what would be the best setup?surely someone has done this to their car

Go 2 speed.... your stock gear ratio will be your second and you'll run a higher numerical first... usually 4 teeth apart...

Misconception... 2 speeds don't necessarily give you any more top speed... They increase accelleration and make your engine not have to work so hard...

Oh yea... Get a real good handling body and new tires.... The truck with the wire wheels just won't cut it....

i have good tires they are hpi 15.00 for two and they grip real well and they are holding up real well too, i dont race plus ithink that body looks tight, would it even make a difference if i switched the spur and pinion gears with my single speed tranny, what size are the stock gears(teeth )

If the body looks too tight you may need to trim the wheel wells a little....

If you go to a smaller pinion or larger ring gear it will accellerate faster... Then you get to test the grip of your tires... 15 for 2 means nothing to people who actually race....
