to start with the flywheel is slightly larger and heavier which allows the engine to idle smoother during pitstops and carry some off throttle inertia which is not bad for corner speed. It is deeper so the flyweights sit deep in the flywheel and the angle on the sides of the flywheel where the flyweights sit is a higher angle which makes the flyweights react quicker in engagement and disengagement for much better response and more consistant response. the pressure plate has an odd shape (looks like an upside down UFO, hence the name)that guides the flyweights straight so they don't cock against the flywheel pins, this allows the clutch shoe to hit the clutch bell straight on every time.(the flywheel pins are pressed into the flywheel perfectly straight so the disc won't hang up, they have to be more precision than a standard setup) The flyweights have 2 weights for tunability and the bell has three holes for venting directly in line with the clutch shoe contact patch (IE like cross drilled brake rotors) sealed clutch bell bearings come with it and they keep the bearings cleaner. and the best part is that when it hits it locks up and stays hooked hard everytime. The kit comes with the red spring but the orange option spring is the one to use set 1.5 threads below flush on adjustment to start with the bell shimmed to .6MM end play.

Unfortunatly everything on the system is all by itself even the clutch bell as it is slightly larger so only UFO bells will work with it. You have to use the entire system as a singular unit or it won't stack up right.

It would not suprise me to see other manufacturers follow suit on the UFO pressure plate design

Just so you guys know I have an active dialogue with TM regularly and they are listening. I am pushing them to do something better about the S class spur material. Its OK but needs to improve. There are many other things but I can't talk about those things yet.
Hi Motorman,

Does the UFO clutch work with the stock or the S class pinions?

Thanks.

Michael
