First problem, either the chutch spring is too tight or the end play is too much.
Second problem, your pinion is not tight enough.
Third problem wasn't mentined and is not affecting the previous ones, TAKE THAT DIFF OUT OF YOUR CAR PLEASE!! LOL
If you going to REV this weekend, show me your car and I will set everything up for you

What happens when someone new turns on their radio gear...

First of all, you go to the track thinking your car is ready to turn some good laps...

And so you put it out for a few practise laps before you nominate and get racing. What you don't expect is a newby with the same frequency to get his stuff out and try to fire his car up in the pits, radio included. And so I spear off into the concrete curb at full throttle...

and the fuel tank is smashed, the motor snapped a rod when it moved forward and stripped the gears and then was free revving.

So until I get a job, my 'goose' is off the road. It's kinda been a tough couple of months and now my hobby is out the window too.

sigh.

Hey Zoom I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me yesterday. All day long everything was good. Then 4 of us line up for a 10 lap shoot out some *$#%# on the side playing with his truck turns on his radio. I watch my Goose go full tilt head first into the curb, goes about 4 feet in the air then done. I have'nt even opened the engine yet. When I was done taking inventory of all the parts I need I was already looking at the price of a new kit. Luckily the electronics are still working. There is thrill in victory and certainly lots of agony in defeat.

Mt MTX 3 went into a curb for the same reason last week. I spent $170.00 to fix it, no electronics, chassie or top plate, or engine they all survived. Basically plastic parts 1 shock and a pipe, these Mtx3`s are tough!

thanks AFM.
seeing that the silver kit is right smack in the middle of the range, what springs do u commonly use?

thin (gray) for bumpy tracks/low traction and thick (green) for smooth tracks/high bite?

There's no need to melt anything. Here is a pic of how the servo and servo arm should be mounted if it's not a low profile jobbie. (Keep in mind this is after my big hit so the servo arm is touching the bulkhead, but it doesn't when the chassis if flat )
