So reducing the EPA doesn't stop it hitting on the belt you have to grind it down?

Why they wouldn't have gone with a MTX3 or S710 design is beyond me... I guess then customers would have to change chassis an possibly top deck. Can only hope Mr Richey / RDLogics can get theirs sorted out

I'm not having any issues with the K1480 steering. The older sliding system has clearence problems that a Dremel will cure. I did use a TC3 spring on the servo saver though.

Wad... I picked up the UFO push clutch when they first hit RD Logics doors... Hands down a must have and it's super smooth too... It's a completely different design from the past ones and something other companies might try to copy in some way... Use the stock red spring that comes with the kit... Oh, the clutch bell is a tad bit larger then the old stock one.... Something to keep in mind if you wanted to swap clutch bells... It won't work... Everyone, if your clutches work and everything is fine... Great... For those that want that little extra and then some!!!! The UFO is must have... Some hoopups are not worth getting... This one is...

Motorman:

Is there any issues with wanting to running the UFO Clutch on a Mongoose with the S-Class gears? Any will it be any better on a slippery concrete surface?

Okay guys....

I finished assembly today. Everything looks great. I just have a few questions...

-The finished reciever pack mount seems to have some movement in it. The screws are tightened down, but the way the holes in the upper deck are designed, the screws tighten down on the receiver pack mount, before tightening down on the upper deck. Is this normal?

-The side belt seems to touch the chassis a bit. I removed some chassis material there and tightened the tentioner a bit more, but it still touches a little. What, if anything can be done about it?

.................................................. .....................

Thats about it for my questions. Some things I took notice of during the build...

-I've NEVER spent so much time building a car, before ever even touching the main chassis. I started to wonder if I would ever get to mount something on the chassis.

-I was worried about the tank leaking, but looking at this thing, it looks like one of the best sealed tank lids I've ever had. If it does leak, I'll certainly be in disbelief and confused as to how its leaking.

-I had to give up one using my switch. I've always used one, but this time, it just wasn't worth the effort. I mean EVERYTHING electrical is mounted on the right, and here's this lonely switch all alone on the left. So I said screw it and I'll just plug the pack into the receiver directly.

-Gotta love included tires in a kit I paid $199 for!!! These are some of the softest 40 shore foams I've ever felt. They seem very nice.

-My car ended up at 1595g w/o body.............let me repeat that......1595g!!!. Thats only 158g more than my JRXS with 3700 cells. I could have taken all the electronics off my R40 and it still wouldn't weigh only 1595g!

...Test drive tomorrow.....track time Saturday.

I hated to, but the switch location was killer. There was plety of room to zip tie the excess stuff over there, but after a couple hours of building, your like...screw it...who needs the extra work.

Oh, there was one more question...

Where the heck are all the RDLogics and Mongoose decals???

The KFactory decals are nice, but with such a nice RDLogics/Mongoose box, where's the decals to go with it.
