hey buddy,

The Mugen differential oil is far the thickest on the market! I use 30,000 weight in my rear diff and it works great. The only way you will find out is the best diff fluid for you. You must run that car and try the different set ups yourself.

when i have the time and i am doing it at home i just open the diff apart and leave it upside down on the table (with a rag of course) overnight. i've tried this even with a 100k weight oil and the next morning, you just need to wipe off a little bit of oil and it's ready for the new one.

What hobby shops in Socal sell the Mongoose and the Richey motor? What does the combo go for?Id like to go somewhere I can see this car,Im not familiar with it.Ive always ran NTC3 or MTX-3's and Ive always wanted to try the G4.It sounds like a great car,but I want to make sure I can get parts without having to order everything.

In what area are you located?
I know that you can get the car at Revelation Raceway, Ultimate hobbies and I'm not sure but I heard that Nitrohouse has the car as well.

Ooops, I'm sorry, I'm on Orange, I don't know a hobby shop in that area, I think that the closest hobby shop to you that I know will be Nitrohouse, I think they are on Laguna Beach.

Making the trek to Ultimate may not be a bad thing. They have the Mongoose on display. I was there last Sunday and they're selling the Mongoose for 199.99. Richey motor is usually for 174.99. There's also Pegasus in Montclair (or Claremont).

Uneke
sorry to hear you won't be there.

Steering update
complete system in car. I have eliminated any need to drill any holes. Unfortunatly I have discovered that it will only fit the K factory blue chassis at this time. I need to design a different lower bracket for the older cars. So if you have a blue K factory chassis like the mongoose comes with its a pure bolt in.

007kel

the Richey motor is an ok motor for short racetracks but if you want to get serious competitive honestly buy one of these two engines. Mugen X12 or Novarossi NS12S3A1 if you can find one. They live forever and go like stink. I know that sounds bad comming from me but when we try to push the Richey motor hard it dies fairly quickly. We tried to get the factory to make changes but we were snubbed so it is as it is. It was not built to the material specs we asked for. Like I said it runs ok on a short track in fact quite well but it has weak top end legs. The engine in the RRE box was a secondary consideration as the origional engine I designed (2 years down the drain)was shanghied by another company. It was really an F'd up deal going both ways. Hence the reason I talk little about the R3. One of these days I'll tell you all the whole story.

PS kel
Mongooses come in a black and green box and actually have a picture of the car and a huge mongoose letters on the box. G4evo's still come in the plain brown box with the K factory upgrades on a sticker on the front.
