When you try the springs, you will find that you don't need very big steering angle. Less steering angle means higher speed. Then the ball cup will not pops out.

The G4 has too low CG and the kit is too light. If you use hard spring you will find that the car doesn't willing to turn. Also the traction not good if you use hard springs. If you use TM spring,1.3~1.5 is the only choice.

About suspension downstop;
low grip track : Front 0 / Rear +2 (start with this)
high grip track : Front +2 / Rear +4 (when your car too sensitive)
super high grip track : Front +4 / Rear +4 (traction roll)

So how's the Mongoose doing down at the Winternats?

I am curious to see how the new motor is doing as well.

Dennis isn't doing so hot. As of round 4 yesterday he's in 51's place overall. Seemed to have only put down 1 good qualifier(2 DNS, 1 DNF), but times are off the pace. I don't know who else is running a Mongoose/RRE combo. Does anyone know another driver running an RD setup?
Maybe things will change today. Serpent is absolutely flying, Mugen is very close, fuel mileage seems to be a problem.

Eric Jones and Nick Dotson, and way below Dennis...will have to wait till Dennis tell us if they had engine or chassis problems.

After six qualy rounds Nick Dotson is 51, but on his last round he seems to have found the set up because he did some good laps in the times of top 5 and average speed same as 5th overall.
He will have to put up some serous racing on the mais to move up, but as i said he seem sto have found the key.

Dennis is 61, and Eric Jones is 57

last report is Nick Dotson's last run qualified him in 8th with a pit but the run was DQ'd because the car came in just a hair under weight. So Nick Dotson has A main speed but will have to bump up in the mains.

I will be running the Mongoose this upcoming season @ region1 & @ some Major events.
I always look more @ the mains more than qualifiers that will set the tone who is consistent thru out the entire event. I was going to the event but the wife has a good lawyer LOL but I am getting a better one so I can attend the 2006 event. I will start putting the car together when it arrives I will be using a similiar set up close to my 710 that I ran last season. So good luck to the RDLOGICS Team

Any advise regarding rear traction. My mongoose always loose rear traction every time I make a turn. Do you think softer rear diff will help or harder front tires?

What tire shore are you running.
what is your toe in set up
Before I had the 710 I was testing out the G4 Pro E class the tires were 37 all aroung with a toe in of 2 degrees I can't remember the shock oil
but the car felt very planted once I have the new car done I will let you know which set up is doing well.

Default WinterNats

OK, so what happenned to Nick Dotson? I mean I understand the DQ he got for being under weight but there are other heat races and his main to where he didn't even finished. Was there a problem with his engine? Or was it something else.

....When he was running, a lot of his lap times were A main caliber.

I'm trying to finish up the car, however I see two issues with my steering I can't figure out.
I've been throught the posts, however, I do not see any mention of it.

If turning to the left the the steering mechanism will get sawed by the front belt, and when turning to the right the Steering Servo horn will rub against the front r/h bulkhead
