Default Broken rear carbon shock tower (G4)

I upgraded to the carbon shock tower in the rear of G4, is the tower itself without the aluminum piece available??? I'd hate spend the $44.00 each time I kiss the boards....!

Tnz Sam, just waiting for my account to get verified. you said you combine orders, so I guess you just order each piece one at a time and you take care of the rest. It's hell to get OLD.....!

Hello,

I have problems getting the car shifting. I adjusted the 2-speed as stated in the manual (screw the screws in till they flush with the edge) but the car doesn't shift. I don't know if he stays in 1st or goes directly into 2nd, so I don't know if I should screw the screws in or out. I tried srewing both ways but he wont shift. Does anybody know how to get the car shifting?

Another problem is that the 2 speed shoe cam is grinding in the 2nd speed housing, wich causes that the 2nd speed housing has a circel around the inner bearing which is 0.5MM deep.

I hope someone can help me, I realy like the car it is so much better than my previous car (MSX-3). I just never had a 2-speed on my car so I hope someone can give me a bit of advise.

Thanks in advance

I'm no expert....! But you can hold the car up and zip the throttle, you should be able to feel and hear the car shift. your problem sounds like its stuck in second because the grinding problem. I think its best to take it apart, take a deep breath and re-assemble it per the instructions. It may have a one way on it also, and should free wheel in one direction by hand, without any rubbing. I think the screws are too far out. Once you rebuild it and get the rubbing problem solved, you can adjust the two screws in to shift latter and out to shift sooner. good luck..!

Thanks for your reply,

I re-assembled the 2-speed several times already, and always exactly as the manual says. I tried to hold the car up but I don't hear or feel very good if the car shifts, it does something but I'm not sure it is changing gears. When the weather is good I will test it on the track tomorrow.
