i changed the front diff for a one way in my G4 c-class, but when the car turns it ejects the stock dogbones, besides buying universals anyone knows what can i do? will kyosho v-one's dogbones fit? the stock dogbones are 52mm long, looks like they need to be about 5mm longer to avoid this, any help will be apreciated.

did you use the silver spacers on the outdrives for the oneway. those space the outdrives out 2mm per side. also cvd's for the mongoose/evo will fit your car.

Heres another tip on the CVD's They are pinable in two places at the hub so you can change the length there to if you need to run the front end really narrow like we do. we shorten the lower arm 3 mm per side at the pivot ball and run the front end 196MM wide. Usually we don't need the drive spacers and use the stock length on the axles when we do that.

Advice is needed, I'm new to nitro on-road but have raced electrics off and on for 20 years and began racing a nitro truck last year.

I've read the threads here and to me the Mongoose seems to be an upgraded G4. Looking at the TM website I see the new G4s kit and the Lemans which is RTR. With my nitro on-road experience being nill, I'm looking for which of these will give me the most satisfaction to cost ratio. I have decent radio equipment (XS3) for my truck and cars so the Futaba radio included with the RTR is not a selling point to me. Cost is, and the G4s kit is more than the RTR before buying an engine and pipe. I've seen a Mongoose advertised for about $200, pictured with an engine and pipe but assuming that is not included.

I guess my choice will be between the RTR and Mongoose. Which of these 2 cars are closer to the G4s? Is there a difference between the Mongoose and the Lemans? Will a new driver notice the difference? Is the included engine with the RTR competitive?

I'm pretty sure I'll have other questions, but these stick out now.

Ok I have a few questions, are you racing your kit or just for street bashing? do you like building your on kit? OK if your racing go with the mongoose I have one from last that I race with. Now if your going to play street bashing go with RTR, unless you like building your on kit, also if your serious about buying a mongoose I'll sell you mine with extra parts & chassis at a great deal you can pm me or email [email protected], oh yea the mongoose is an upgraded version G4.

The RTR kis possible to "street bash" but does not come that eay in the kit. It is an upgradeable car that allows you to grow in driving skills and at the same time add the upgrades to match your driving skills. The kit is set up for track running or very clean parking lots. It is a 3 belt 4wd car. Parking lot pebbles play havic on those belts.

If you just want to be a street basher buy an used 1/10th scale car from someone and have at it. However if you like to get into comepetition driving at a local club Team Magic's Leman G4 is made for you. Look at the in this website. www.racedayhobbies.com/team_magic_lemans.html This will give you more information about the car .

Sorry, bashing is boring to me. Building a kit is not a problem, I enjoy it in fact.

Am I better off with the RTR Lemans, ($400) changing out my radio and selling the Futaba for what I can get for it, or buying a Mongoose kit for $200 and adding the engine ($???) and pipe($50) ? (What engine is recommended? .12? .15?)

If the RTR ends up $40-50 cheaper than the kit, but the kit already has performance pieces I'd have to add to the RTR, then I'll buy the kit.

TIA

I would say based on what you want to do now and in the future it's best to buy the RTR. If you have a better radio system then what is in the Lemans, then sell off the Futaba while it is new equipment. As mention, the car is ugradeable, and the parts can be found all the time and same with the upgrades.

This car is really some else. you willbe very happy with it. Not sure if you seen the pics on the site:

www.racedayhobbies.com/team_magic_lemans.html click on eith order and this will send you to my other site that has real pictures of the car. My cost is only $379.99 on the car.

By the kit & good radio, do not go for rtr, you get junk electronics.
