hey guys, I just got my Mugen MYX-3 super hard spring today and I have a question.

if the nut is flush with the shaft that has the threads it takes about 1/2th throttle for the car to move, and the engine starts reving high.

is this bad for the engine?

I have lossen the nut a little less then flush meaning the tip of the threads are not visable at all from the side and the nut sticks out further.

I need to test if this works.

where should my clutch be engaging with this super hard spring?
(about the same as the yellow RD spring, maybe a bit harder)

I need a basic setup.

rcrevolution... You can give it a shot but, I would use the springs design for the car... TM has a complete spring set for the Mongoose and can be ordered through RD-Logics... www.RD-Logics.com

The Tamiya springs posted on that ad. looks like they are for electric 1/10 cars... Stick with TM, Mugen, Serpent ect...

Default RD Logics Race At Revelation

Congrats to YBSLOW and WAD for getting both of their cars in the A-Main !!!

Tough Competition and Tricky Track Conditions !!!!!

WAD (Walter) Pulled a great 4th Place Finish

YBSLOW (Brad) Pulled a respectable 7th place even with a fueling issue that cost some precious laps due to his pitman (ME) LOL !!! Sorry Bro!
Tough conditions !!!

Brad won the B Main Event and then went on to make both A-mains (1/8th Scale and 1/10th Sedan)
Drove for over 300+ laps on Sunday !!!
Car never lost or broke a part

ALL in all pretty fun weekend of racing and hope to see some RD Cars at the Ron Paris Memorial Race in Las Vegas Oct. 12th - 16th.

Got my first win with the Mongoose this weekend. The car handled great and got many compliments and double takes when people couldn't immediately recognize the car.(I love that ) The only changes I made to the car were to go to a lighter oil (35wt) in the rear.

Then theres always the jaw drop effect when I told people how much I paid for it. There was a lot of attrition from the other more expensive cars out there, but the Mongoose held strong. I wasn't the fastest car out there, but I was the one that crossed the line first.

Unfortunately, that was our last outdoor race at that track, so I guess I have to hope that me and my car's mojo carry over to next season.

many are getting thier cars where they hold thir own pretty good now. Ray Juhl is about 25 points out of first in the midwest series. (PS he's sitting 4 behind Chris Dosek) If he has luck in Cinci he might pull off the championship. There has been many RRR's and MTX3's for us to contend with this year. (the three guys in front of him have had some tough luck recently) (there are almost 30 qual points available before you count lap points) Go ray.

Big Brad Time to get back in the groove.

Pretty good for the most under rated car on the market.

congrats darksied.

Jabroni,
Thanks for the great pitstops and for fixing my sedan on Friday Night so it was drivable for Sat and Sun. Hopefully you can pit me at the Paris Race.

Thanks for all your help this weekend.
Later!

Thanks JABRONI !!
Car was working good until I decided to use different tires for the main, my bad
I didn't have to replace any single part on the car in all weekend, I ran the same belts and gears (s-class) without problems. Car qualified 3rd and finished 4th place. Next time I will try to don't do any changes for the main if the car is working good................lol
