Please no lab experiment, there is not much left in the budget.
I have some good news for your wallet. You don't need to change the spurs, they should fit perfectly

Three hop-ups I would get are the 1. UFO push clutch, 2. S-Class gear set and 3. the swing rack steering system... For speed and control... the UFO clutch and the S-class gear set are a must have and for the problem-matic slider steering system, the upgraded swing rack set-up is are a must have... Don't have the part numbers, but you can go to www.rd-logics.com and order direct... Good luck and happy racing

Anyway,
I have most, almost all the K factory parts on my car, except the more up to date stuff.
I still have the 'sliding' steering and the original push type clutch.
I have the original steering knuckles also and stock gearing that came with the car.
My question.....?
Oh yes, my question.........lol
My car drives prity good.....infact its great! I love the car. It has loads of steering, so much so I was having trouble getting 'enough' rear end grip.
I'm at only 60% steering! Anyway.....
What would you guys suggest would be the worthwhile improvements for my car?

Bare in mind that I am a maintenence fenatic........I strip down (to the last nut an bolt) the car after every wkend of racing! So I do not mind maintaining the car.
Having previously come from England, I'm used to running on rubber tyers and so am still using them now.
Current set-up,
Front:
25lb springs, 40 wt oil, stock pistons (with o rings around the pistons though), 0.5 to 1 degree toe out, shocks laying down using K factory 3mm chassis. And 5mm ride hight.Anti-role Bar...Flat. Using Kyosho's adj' geard diff.
Running about 120,000 wt grease in.
Rear:
32lb springs, 50 wt oil, pistons as above,3 degree toe in, shocks sting fully upright on K factory tower. And 6mm ride hight.Anti-role Bar...45 Degrees.
1000 wt fiff' grease. Camber link: Inner is uppermost hole, outer is 2nd hole down.

I use the titanium ball cups, low friction belts etc.
Ant help would be greatly appreciated as although I've had the car for over a year I only started driving it 1 month ago !
Also....I'm on Iowa/Illinois border. Any good tracks around?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply "Rc Alan".
The UFO clutch....... whats different about that improvement?
I've heard some talking of replacing the clutch spring with a super hard one in the stock clutch and junking the brass inserts in the shoes.
Would this improve the stock clutch much?

As funds are still a little tight, this on the face of it, sounds the cheeper option.
What do you think?

Thanks again for the info' !

Wow... I'm here asking the question now... I've been using the S-Class gears since the came out and always have had a problem with the gears stripping... Only when I use the 2nd speed gearing of 25/46 or 25/45... My shift point is set to shift alittle early just so that it does not hit so hard and my gears are new.... I went through 6 sets of gears over the weekend... My mesh is correct and all my motor mounting screws were tight... I'm telling you I know how to set up the car... I believe that it's the plastic used in the S-Class gears that's causing this problem... Much more softer then the original gears... Motorman, AFM or anyone that has an answer to this problem.... Weekend practic is one thing.... Dropping out of a race is another.... Any quailty input is much apprieciated...
I'm using on the first gear 19/52 and 2nd is like I said 25/46 or 25/45... I've seen others having the same problem and they come up and ask me what's gives??? Why are my gears stripping??? And I'm like they are...

I had some gearing question myself too, and was told, to keep the difference in No. of gear tooth the same. So original clutch gears is 24-19=5, & spur gears is 51-46=5. Also 51-24=27 & 46-19=27. Now how good is this information? I am not sure, because did not try them yet. I did send an email to Team Magic to confirm this information. I talk to dave at RD logics & he told me if I change my clutch greas, I have to change spur grears too, well I am so confused which is not funny at all. We need a mechanical Engineer to charm here.
