They need some more top end ratios...... |
This car is a suckers bet. I say buy a used one. There are so many changes that have to be done to make it competitive. Tom give a danny a good price:nod:
I have had this car about 3 weeks here's the tally so far GT1 used $200 2 Speed $100 Acre Breaks and pads $60 Sweep tires $60 Savox 1258 servo for steering $70 Oils,Diff lube and Gas $60.00 Big Bore Shocks $94 Novarossi Kangaroo Syd $379 2015 pipe and short manifold w/springs $110 racing at floyd is agressive, the stock motor wont cut it. I chose the gt1 because of the shortened wheel base. Otherwise this thing pushes like a dump truck. With the likes of TonyQ and Rob B you need to keep up IMO. For bashing RTR is great but racing not even close and for $600-$700 id buy my choice of motor ty! Which I did by the way! |

I have one of the pro kits in our shop, and I'm offering to throw in the new 2-speed to anyone that buys it.
|
anyone got a picture of the new 2speed? i bought a used rtr ,i didnt get the radio ,didnt need or want it. as for the pos stock motor planning to remove it in favor of a go gx2 motor. im slightly anoyed because it chewed up the gears twice :flaming: so now its sittin till i get my duck in a row . sucks cause i really was lookin forward to some onroad action .

I thought everyone would be useing to impenema two speed conversion by now. to thoes who have used it. does it not hold up? I was thinking with that set up if it was possible to use the evolva's clutch. Which would give a greater range of gear ratio's.
|
true. However, IGW008 is good allaround setup for GT2, I don't think anyone actually needs anyhting else. I've tested a lot of them, incl. Evolva setup that is similar to Ipanema (which uses same parts) on several different track layouts. But if you happen to have the Ipanema tranny, it's good to use it, nevertheless.
