That's 60% of the A main from last years race.
dpdiehl, how do you know this? They are definitely not coming?

I think the 2004 FEMCA champion will be at the Winternats, he's from Taiwan.

While at the electric worlds, I asked Burch and Cyrul if they were doing the bird or the nats..

The birds, hands down..

Burch has to go to the birds for sure, he distributes Xray... he's gotta kiss up.. Cyrul too since he has a 12th scale business to promote...

Barry Baker, well... I don't remember if I asked him or not..

all the premier drivers that run both classes, you can bet they will run the snowbirds instead.

But the mugen boys (swauger, long, collins) should be there. I don't know why the japanese mugen crew wouldn't be there (Osaka, fukuda, etc).

Too bad we couldn't convince masami to come and run a yokomo touring car...

hmm.. lemme go email masami...

Now that our "rogue" friend has a 710, RRR, XRay T1 and a TRF 415, I wonder which race he will go to!

I beleive it's the SW Florida Int'l Airport.

I beleive (don't hold me to this) most racers had to fly into miami and take a commuter flight to Fort Myers or simply drive (2 hr drive)

nope, all I know is they are having a track day this saturday to put the barriers back down onto the new surface. I was going to see about going, in the interest of taking pics, but I have to work.

We spent Saturday laying out the track and testing it and the surface out.

Traction should be great if Saturday is any indication. We ran on a dusty unprepaired track and the cars handled great. I very was surprised that we could drive full speed right from the first lap. But, you will have to slow down a little going into the chicane now (the exit will have more room though). The carousel has been tightented up a bit. The short shoot is a little wider and we aren't going to put any paint on the outside. The cars felt better on the sweeper and you could really dive into the corner at the end of the (sort of) straight.

Overall the layout and rythm of the track is the same as ever.

Can't wait for the first race to test it out.
