Yes, you're right. At the very bottom ... No Refunds.

Ah well, I'll just have to wait and risk not getting a place then.

Is the cutoff on entries class specific? So many of touring, so many of 8th scale. etc?

Default Winternats

I would love to come to an event like this but the only thing that worries me is finding pit crew. How do you travellers do it?

And there will be quite a few other guys there who don't have pit guys who will be running in different hears, so I'm sure there will be some helping going on.

Sow, when do you think you'll know if you are able to make it?

Not until late Nov Mark ... there's a work related planning meeting then and only then will know the various schedules.

Just make sure you stand on the table and shout a lot if anything gets in the way of the winternats

I'm doing that already because there appears the possibility of a clash. This was one reason I was asking about refunds above.

I want to book to ensure we get a place but if my "shouting" fails in November then I won't be able to go. If I wait until I know and book then there's probably no places left. What to do ...

Default Winternats

This is the race you want to attend. There were couple gus this year who came alone and everbod were helped. This is biggest fun race so far I saw. But in the mean time, it is tough race and be ready to race not to relax.
We went this year and we are planning to go next year.
Track is very specifc and I strongly recomend to come for practice days too to set up cars and tune engines.
This year we made big mistake-came to Maimi first, prctice there for 2 days and then we went to Ft Mayers-it was total sh..t.

The practice days are VERY important..

Fort Myers is a very unique track, it's a fast track.. and this year it is going to have new pavement, making it even faster and throwing another curve to everyone!

There's only a slight change to the track where the turn is with the red dots, that's being exteneded slightly. everything else stays the same, the metal boards, that legendary chicane!!

That chicane is my favorite part of the track.. if you are off by 2 inches on your driving line, you can't take it full throttle.. but when you do take it full throttle and make it.. it's kind of a rush!!

Just to clarify a few things.

We are only allowing racers to sign up for one class per person.

There is no set number of entries for each class. The number of heats (18) will dictate the number of racers in each class. Heats will be filled, first come first serve, until we run out of heats. If some body sends in an entry to a class that is full and there is a heat for another class available, they will have the option to change their class.

Send your entries in early so that your not left out!

There will be no Banquet this year. We will have the FREE BBQ as usual at the track, but it will be Friday night. Lower main trophies will be handed out at the BBQ.

Get you t-shirts early or preorder because the popular sizes sell out quickly.

There will be power available under the tents. Food and drinks are available at the track. Air compresser and tire truing are available. There will be plenty of space available for people bringing their own tents and tables.

Motorhomes can stay overnight but there are no facilities available for them. AND you will be locked in at night! Please contact Jim for more info if you are bringing a motorhome.

Touring car guys, please check the rules on winternats.com. I will update the rules per ROAR rule changes. I will probably eliminate the exhaust port height rule since it was not teched at the 2004 ROAR nationals.

Hopefully I've answered more questions than I've created.
