Serpent Glowtronics Instruction!
 

Hi,

I'm really new to RC nitro, first car bought in june 2011.
I bought a 2nd hand serpent glowtronic but have no idea how to install this in my serpent starterbox :cry: (did not come with a manual).
There are four wires that come out of the unit, two have to be connected to the glowigniter wires and the other two have to be connected within the starterbox.
Could somebody please explain to me were I have to connect these last two wires?

(I power my starterbox with a 12v external battery)

I saw these pictures, they only show were two of te wires go, but not the other ones.

Two go to the bullet connectors for the glow ignitor and the other two go to the battery.

The batteries are already connected to the motors.
How do I connect it in order to power everything (motors and glowtronic) all within the starterbox with the same battery?

Bullet connector go to Battery voltage. Spaded connector to the banana plugs. Are you useing a car battery or a 7-9 anp UPS battery??

I have one tamiya style connector that goes to the battery! Where do I plug the glowtronics black & red wires?

Original owner probably use the Tamiya connector as Battery. The igniter should have banana plugs. Female banana plugs should be installed on the backing of starter box for easy plug-in. Does it look like BigDog's Post?? If banana male & female plug are missing, can purchase in Radio Shack of maybe your LHS.

12v 7a battery. Battery use on a Uninterupted Power Supply(UPS). Car battery to heavy to transport. UpS battery is only 6". Like a motorcycle battery. And alot cheaper. 7mah to 9mah are available.

The Glowigniter has banana plugs these have to be connected to the glowtronics output plugs. It's the other two wires that goes outside the glowtronic I don't know were to connect them inside the starterbox. Do U have a glowtronics manual?

How do you connect your Starter box to your Battery? Fast answer is, purchase a "y" connector with Tamiya connector. One to power the motors on box, and to power the igniter. Go to LHS, they should carry what you need.

The tamiya Y-connector has to be a parallel or a series Y-connector?
