Questions?? Novarossi conrod

Hi there.

Can anyone tell me the difference between a novarossi conrod 07600 and a conrod 07601? I have a novarossi engine which is either an NS12 or an RS12 but unsure. the con rod that is in the engine atm is a 07600 and my local hobbie stores cannot start it due to the con rod being to long and the piston getting stuck. he is not familiar with novarossi so any help would be appreciated and if i need the 07601? thanks

I doubt you'll get much response in the Electric sections, so I'm moving it to the Nitro onroad section, see if that reaches some folks who can help....

Two different type of conrods :

1. Long stroke ( longer conrod ) : torque oriented : LL5, Plus12

2. Short stroke ( shorter conrod ) : rpm oriented : NSR, NS

I'm not sure if people can use both type of conrod interchangeably.

I dont think its possible to use longer conrod for inside short stroke engines.

The difference between the 07600 and a 07601 is about 1mm in length the 07600 in your motor probablely cause the piston to hit the head, and will only fit the old engines such as CX series M & MT series 12's will not fit any later model motors.
The 07601 will fit RS, NS, old 3 ct's and will actually fit the new plus series but I have not tried this one and do not recommend.

The 7601 was used all the way up to the 3sct tuned which is a plus. The 353 used a different rod.

Yes I stand corrected but it was only 08 353 motor that used a 7602 09 on used 7604 or as I said 7601 but don't know how well they hold up.
