The hybrids are front tires made with 2 different shore of tires and 2 different type of foam.

They are 32 front foam on the outside and 40 rear foam on the inside.

This is the only combination available and are mounted on carbon front 1/8 scale

They are available at Desoto Racing and will be online on the Serpent America website this week

Glad to hear a company doing this type of tire. Use to build this type of tire back in my "glue and true" 2WD days. Worked very well on certain tracks.

Whats the idea behind it, what effect does it have in the handling of the car?

Funny how old things become new again. I remember days of not mounting tires untill after the first day of practice based on what worked. And yes I did the same in 2wd and it worked. But it was easier when the fronts were two rings ....... Kind of like 7 1/4" floppy disks.

Based on my experience doing similar things in other classes, it should give a LOT more turn in. Haven't tried these though.
