Default AMB Personal Transponders

I would like to get one. Where can I find one? Are there any online shops I can order one from?

Thanks

If you

Call 724-228-1190 and ask for Mike Rooney.

www.steelcityhobbies.com

They are putting together a group purchase which would reduce the price to $65

First choice should be from the club or track owner where you will be doing the most racing. Support you local club/track owners first! AMB gives a lousy 10% of full retail when we buy ten or more! So price won't vary much no matter where you buy it.

They require the AMB RC digital lap counting hardware and appropriate software. The system can be turned on for practice.
The cost of this system is in excess of $3,000.

Yes they can but your track or club needs to have the system turned on together with an accesible monitor or better still, a printer.

My club used to have even an SMS system. You just drive (the system is on but locked inside the club house) and then send an SMS. Within seconds you get an SMS back with all your lap times, total laps and total time. Unfortunately the previous Race Director left and apparently never passed any info over to the new guy. Shame!

I checked all of my lhs and they told me to order it direct from AMB. As previously stated, they do not give much of a discount so not many places stock them. They are not cheap.

that is such a cool idea! with the SMS thing. i would imagine everyone buying transponders to practice and get better lap times!
