clerance at full lock

I'm not saying it cant be better it can but you don't drop a whole car for a singular issue or even a few you fix them til its right. remember when this car came out it was way ahead of its time

micro transmission and clutch
lay down servos
monobox chassis
easy service diffs & belts
ultra low cg tank
low mass

Motorman glad you and Leo are working the bugs out on this car! BTW I met you once at the track, Leo introduced me to you. Will you be at Rev this Thursday? Maybe I'll drop by and see your G4 setup. Take care!

Like Motorman said, you don't need to have your steering travel to full lock just to steer. I set up my MTX-3's steering at 80% max and that's on a tight technical track with several 90 degree turns.

I remember one of those sidebar ads Losi runs that commented on how people would have MORE steering if they ran less lock to lock.....and avoid the scrubbing effect you get when the wheels are fully turned.(which in turn gives you less steering)..

I always turn my EPA down, and tune the car to steer with less travel......

BTW,I've also found that most racers are traveling WAY to fast into corners.....try backing off the gas at the same time on the track, gently turn the wheels as the car is slowing down(to avoud scrub)...and the car will turn great...

just my .02......

Yes the shipment came in and they are ready.
RD's got a meeting with Pegasus and I'll be heading to Tony's Hobbies ASAP so we can get these dealers to carry the G4s.

I'm not saying its perfect but its not as big a deal as you say it is. Heck if everyone I know that has smoked countless spur gears, bumpers, rear shock towers and broken upper decks at the reciever mount on their serpents they'd all be in the hopper already. The V1RRR will suffer the same issue as the serpent on the rear tower as it is almost exactly the same. better stock up on those. they all have something that bugs the owner

not from us as they just add another middle man to empty your wallet. RD is getting all the part numbers uploaded to the web and replacement parts are on the way. kits are in.
I'm looking at the picture thinking, " That motor must be fast. He put it back in his car"

Well said. The less you have your wheels turned in the corners, the faster your car is rolling through it. If you're having to rely on full lock, then your set up is probably wrong. Just observe your fast guys on the track and see how much their wheels turn in corners. Also observe if your line is the same as theirs. Any car WILL understeer or oversteer if your line if off.

I will have to agree with this. Try owning a NTC3 team kit and see how many problems it will give you. steering bind, was the least of my worries with it.

Sorry for being so harsh earlier. I dialed in my EPA to 90 and gained back 110% of the steering. I'm still using the old blocks also. I'm probably going to dial the EPA to about 75 to 80. Thanks for the help motorman. My car is fricking bullet proof now. I haven't broken a single part in the last few times i have ran it and its flipped a few times ( couple of those times with the lid off) I"m ready for next season.

I also put my nova mega 5 port turbo motor in and man that has so much more low end power and it revs so much faster than my rossi.

The long rod motor is going to be blessed for the final time this weekend and orders for those will be placed with the factory. a complete long rod production motor is in the G4 in the picture I posted.

Just wondering how does a long rod motor have an advantage over a regular motor and will it be ROAR legal? Thanks,
Mike
