Then it branches into a two-legged tree with a 1/2A and a 1/2B and everybody is trying to bump up from the 1/4A and 1/4B and so on. The tricky part is it is not necessarily the top 3 racers from each the 1/2A and 1/2B that bump up. It could be 5 racers from one race and one from the other because it is based upon who is genuinely the fastest top 6 and their best performance (laps/time) in the two combined races.

Hope this isn't too confusing. If you have questions, ask and I'll explain. When I learned this at the 1/5 scale worlds it was tough to grasp at first because it is kind of weird from how we normally do things.
Thanks for the explanation Fraz but what i really need to know can Mark Mreen bump up all the way to the top from the bottom?

I've postd the provisional Semi Finals list at 3hobby.com but the bottom 3 places aren't filled yet. This will be later today once the 1/4s are finished ... weather permitting.

If he has the tires today, If its dry, If IF IF but yes ... he can. First he has to get into the B Semi Final by finishing in the top 3 position in his 1/4 Final.

Then if he gets into the top 3 of his Semis he'll be in the finals.

Remember, his 33 lapper was good enough for the 7th spot so he is capable of getting there.

Default M Green

Hi There.

If the conditions are dry and that Mark Green have a trouble free run, i am 100% sure he will make it into the Final. He is a wicked driver and i have raced with him on several occasion in 1/10th and 1/8th ( oh and have been lapped by him !!!) He is so consistent that he is alway on the same racing line every lap and time wise as well !!! I seen his car and engine before he left for brazil, it was very very fast, that even some 1/8th car have trouble catching him !!!

Here is the unofficial starting line up for the main Final:

1. Adrien Bertin, France, V-One-RRR/Sirio
2. Francesco Tironi, Italy, V-One-RRR/Sirio
3. Josh Cyrul, USA, V-One-RRR/Sirio
4. Takaaki Shimo, Japan, V-One-RRR/Sirio
5. David Spashed, UK, V-One-RRR/Sirio
6. Teodorio Syah Teddy, Indonesia, V-One-RRR
7. Mark Green, UK, S-710/Mega
8. Chris Tosolini, USA, V-One-RRR/Sirio
9. Michael Salven, Germany, S-710/Mega
10.

Position 7-10 still unofficial! Since the top 2 finishers for each semis automatically move up into the final. The remaining 2 places will be determined by the next 2 fastest drivers from either the A semi final or the B semi final.

Michael Salven finished 3rd on A Semi finals with 94 laps and Mark Green Finished 1st on B Semi Finals with only 93 laps.

No confirmation yet on 10th position!

Let's wait for the official announcement!

Xray

I think you'll find that as Mark won his semi he is in 6th postion behind David on the grid and Tosolini will be in 8th.

2 Brits in the main that's cool!

Here is the report from www.tq-racing.com:

Day 10 - Saturday - It's been raining again overnight and the morning
started with overcast. The start of the first race of the day (1/4 Final)
was delayed as the track was still wet. Eventually, the first quarter final
were run at 09:50.

The biggest news for us in SE Asia is that the ONLY Indonesian driver, Teddy
Syach, who was totally unheard of by outside SE Asian countries, whom was
placed in one of the lowest group (Heat#2) as the organizer must have
thought Teddy was just one of the "also run" drivers, advanced through the
coveted Grand Final and starting in 6th, bettering the like of M. Salven and
completing the top 6 with all Kyosho. Teddy was not even considered as a
member of Team Kyosho International. When a group (Team Kyosho) picture was
taken Team Kyosho was featuring all their members including a Hong Kong (C.
Hang Hung) driver, but not the man from Indonesia.

Together with Mark Green, who made it all the way from the lowest final
(1/64th) to the top, Teddy Syach had made a history through their dramatic
crusade!

If weather permits, the Grand Final will start at 15:00 Brazilian time.

The night before, Team Kyosho already showed their determination, focus and
commitment to battle it all out, as all of them left the Banquet early,
despite of the excitements with all the dancings by the girl from Ipanema.
The result speaks for itself: It is a total KYOSHO DEMOLITION, as 7 Kyoshos
are in the Grand Final with the rest filled by Serpent.

1.Adrien Bertin (Kyosho)
2.Francesco Tironi (Kyosho)
3.Josh Cyrul (Kyosho)
4.Takakaki Shimo (Kyosho)
5. Davit Spashett(Kyosho)
6. Teodorio Syach Teddy (Kyosho)
7. Michael Salven (Serpent)
8. Ken Furukawa (Kyosho)
9. Mark Green (Serpent)
10. Chris Tosolini (Kyosho)
