Default Another Season

Another season is upon us, and the DM1 is getting close to coming down off the wall to be fitted with it's Novarossi power plant and a fresh set of Sweeps...

Please keep an eye on the TZGP thread to stay informed on dates and rules....
Cheers,
Clete

I heard that the warrior is banned because of the built in wing. And that the apha is the hot ticket. I have never run either

I think if you go to the GT thread and look back in the early posts you will find a bunch of info there. I have never seen one used. We have spec class only and keep it simple. Tires motors and bodies are regulated. All bodies must have a separate wing like a sedan.

On another forum It was determined that the Warrior wing is a "wing mount".
You can put a sadan wing on it if you want/have to, it fits, works and looks cool if you do it wright.

Yeah well…..

Their group’s rules keep our GT racing products and racers from competing against them, yet we’ve always welcomed them to race with us at the largest GT Only events on earth.

2010 GT Spec Class World Champion – Paul Roberts

2011 GT Open Class World Champion – Ivan Vasquez

2012 GT Spec Class World Champion – Hilton Martinez

See ya’ll at the 2012 Byron Fuels Challenge at Leisure Hours Raceway, Joliet Illinois in June.

That is not true!

Our group, RCSR Rose City Scale Racing, allows your body and tires. I ran your tires last year and I have a Warrior body. RCSR in Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA allows open tires and bodies. The Timezone Gran Prix had a spec tire last year because Sweep stepped up and sponsored the event. What they choose to do in the future is their business.

Maybe you should take it up with clete…. Since it appears he’s trying to speak for your group.

A wedge body has a little guy in the center or a small cockpit, not a full size windshield and a full roof line like the Warrior has.

The Warrior’s rear spoiler can’t break off in the middle of a race and is actually lower in height than the roof line.

The Warrior’s spoiler will pass any “wing height level test” anywhere. It comes with a optional bolt on “Gurney” flap, some use it, some make their own, while some guys are racing really fast using the Warrior GT body with nothing attached to it at all.

Thanks, that could be taken as a complement, but it’s no LeMans body, unlike some others used at some GT races today.

The Warrior fits most all short or long wheelbase GT chassis, sells for about $45 dollars and is made with pride in America.
