What air filter is the best?

just trying to find out what the best air filter to run?
What are you guys running?

i was thinking about trying out the motor savor filters?

I am mydelf use the motor saver in my Kanai 3, and it keeps the dirt out. So for on-road it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Well thats its job. Imagine how much shit would be in your engine without it.. :D

I think I know that part.
Hahhaha
What I'm trying to find out if there other filter's out there that don't get as dirty as the exposed foam.
Trying to get some info on the motor saver filters.
Anyone know if the mesh screen restricts flow vs open foam filters?

The motor saver filters are awesome. I've used them for years.

Motor Savers are GREAT! I now install new foam elements instead of cleaning dirty ones. Your engine will thank you!

i have been mening to ty out those motor saver filters but one of the guys at the local hobby store said to jsut use the Associated Lare bore foam air filter cause its 1/4 price and works better than the motor saver filters.

Reason he said that is cause the mesh sceen slows the air flow down a lil bit VS the open foam filter element.
Can anyone vouch for this dude's comment????

I really want to get one of those motor saver filter cause
1) it looks like it will be hell of alot easier to clean
2) it ooks like it will protect my motor way more that the open element
3) the foam inside does not look as thick as the Associated Foam filter and that mean the air gets in there faster and still clean!
anyone agree?

Another question for you guys using the motor saver filters

i am running the MUGEN MT.12 Turbo motor and i think my carb uses the bigger size neck for the filter i believe?
15-mm if im correct vs the standard 10-11-mm neck?

Would it be better to jsut use the regular straight mount filter or get the 45-degree angle neck?

thanx again fella's

I have both types of filters and they both work well. I stopped using the motor saver because it got damaged in a crash.

The MT12 uses a .21 sized air filter. I ran an ellegi onroad air filter on my NEO TNT. Hardly have much dirt getting on that thing, but I still used plenty oil (ofcourse squeeze out the excess) and sometimes run with the plastic cover over it. It looks cool with those GTP or lola type bodies though. BTW, my MT12 is the standard slide carb w/SG.

Filters

You can get 2 filters from GQ for $10.00 with oil for them from WWW.RCTexas.com these filters fit very tight also they dont fall off!

And if you want to believe the hype of the best is the most expensive you can always go grab a K&N filter.

The GQ or the Team Titan air filters are brilliant but cant beat the K&N if you can afford it

Was using normal foam filter, went to motor saver "on road" filters but ended up putting my 1/8 buggy Motor Saver filter on. With the pre filter foam its AGES between cleans :) :)
