I was at a race meeting yesterday and was chatting to a guy who had custom made his own aluminium rear shock tower for his RRR.
He used 3mm aluminium plate and used the existing shock tower as a template to cut out the new one.
From there on, he simply used his dremel to trim it to size and again used the original as a template for the holes.......needless to say it appeared to work quite well and he was rather pleased with it.......he also finished 3rd in the A main using it, so it cant be too bad
Cheers

why would you want to go through all of the trouble of buying aluminum plates, dremeling and so forth when you could get a 4mm shock tower of carbon fiber with shipping for $9.99. the holes are exactly the specification of the manufacturer. these things are indestructable. if interested email me [email protected] or 305-807-9529. what i am doing is trying to build the parts of cars that break and sell them at a reasonable price. if this works, i will build other parts that racers need and sell them at fair price. i think it is ridiculous to pay $20 for a shock tower. that is why i started this all up. i am trying to put a check on prices. plus free shipping worldwide.

maybe he loves to do things like that. i make my own parts if i think i can make it, it is part of the fun for some.

it is very nice of you to offer parts at a resonable price. looking forward to your other products (bought the 4mm tower already).
