Hey guys ive started to build my RRR and i just wanted to ask a Question

when i assembled the 2speed the 2nd gear doesnt move seperatly to the 1st gear

Should the 2nd gear spur move independently to the 1st gear spur?

Please help

Thank You

Thanks for the reply jwf_frani.

Traj,

i believe you do. i had a similar issue with the RRR. you'll have to file off the burs on the 2 speed changer, particularly the hole for the 3x3 grub screw (part 153 of Step 25, on pg 18). This should free up the 2 speed. Apart from this lil' hand fitting, you'll probably need to do the following:

1. boring the lower front suspension arms with a 3.05mm reamer (if you have this) or 3mm drill bit

2. use a soldering iron or flame to seal the sides of the fuel (on some early models)

and

3. outfit a 0.5mm shim at the front of the front upper suspension shafts, to take off the slop, so as not to disturb the caster settings. Just ensure that after putting on the shims that there's no binding of the suspension arm.

Except for this, the RRR should piece together very nicely.

traj,
i would not drill anything out on your car. on mine, the front arms did have binding at first. but after i drove the car about 3 or 4 outings, the binding went away--- it wore in. if you drill out, after a few runs you will have excessive play in the arms.

Yer i decided not to do it

They are pretty free

I have now fixed my 2speed problem, Thanks to everyone who helped

The car is new so expect it to be pretty tight at first

By far the V one RRR is the tighest car i have ever built and ive built G4, Mugen, RR evos.

I still think Kyosho could have put a Ball Bearing on the throttle linkage horn, i might have to replace it with the 3racing one which has a BB built in.

AFTERMARKET PARTS

aside from 3racing, is there any other company that manufacture aftermarket or hop-up parts for the v-one RRR that is already available in the market or hobby shops

im having a problem with the front steering

when i assemble the flange ball onto ther servo horn and put it on the servo , i then put it back on the chassis, the frlange ball hits the top carbon deck!

has this happened to anyone before?

does anyone know hot to stop it from hitting?

the instructions say that the flang ball is on the very top hole on the servo horn and that it should be 18-20mm fromt the top hole to the servo hole and mine is! (pg 23 step 36)

please help
